About the PACE Race 5K Run/Walk Series

One in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, and there are more cases of prostate cancer than any other major cancer on a yearly basis. Because of these staggering statistics, the PACE Race Run / Walk Series was launched in 2002 as a method for the Prostate Cancer Education Council (PCEC) to increase national awareness of prostate cancer.

The PACE Race Series complements the PCEC's missions of offering free or low cost prostate cancer screenings across the nation as well as educating men, the women in their lives, and the medical community, about the prevalence of prostate cancer; the importance of early detection; and available treatment options.
