About the PACE Race Series

The mission of the PACE Race Series is to increase awareness and early detection of prostate cancer and to educate men and their families on treatment options and other mens health issues.

One in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and there will be more cases of prostate cancer than any other major cancer this year. It is because of these staggering statistics that the PACE Race originated in 2002 as a result of a need for the Prostate Cancer Education Council (PCEC) to further develop events to spread awareness of prostate cancer nationwide. The PACE Race Series worked well with the PCECs mission of offering free or low cost prostate cancer screenings across the nation as well as to educate men, and the women in their lives, as well as the medical community, about the prevalence of prostate cancer; the importance of early detection and available treatment options in addition to mens health issues.

With events spread throughout the entire country, the 2009 PACE Race Series has the ability to touch men and women of all walks of life.

For more information on the PACE Race or the PCEC or to make a donation to the cause please call (303) 316-4685 or (866) 477-6788 or log on to www.PCAW.com.
